I like the hard, unglamorous problems that make products scale.

I'm Ryan, a senior product designer at NAB. From 2022 to 2025 I designed the white label lending platform behind Qantas Money, Coles, Kogan and MyCard credit cards: one system that looks like four different brands and behaves the same in all of them.

I've designed products built in React, React Native, fully native iOS and Android, and AEM, so I know how a design gets built and I work closely with engineers to ship it well.

The way I work is simple. Get to the real problem quickly, put more than one idea in front of customers, and let the evidence settle the argument. When two stakeholders want different things, I'd rather test both than debate them. When a design system is missing something, I design it properly and give it back.

I also care about the people around me. I coach designers through NAB's Progressive Elaboration process and scalable Figma practice, and I build small tools, like an AI-assisted Figma plugin, that take the tedium out of their week.

What I'm looking for

A senior or lead product design role on a team that treats design as a partner in strategy, ideally on complex products where systems thinking and craft both matter. Fintech, platforms and multi-brand products are home turf, but I'm curious about any hard problem.

Outside work you'll find me travelling, following sport, trying the latest tech, or chasing a good coffee.
